Finally I'm a Blogger!
August 18, 2008
I've finally joined my friends in creating a blog! It was much easier than I thought, well so far anyway. Summer is winding down so I'm trying to do a few last minute fun things with Braiden. Today we had his friends, Lauren and Alex, for the day. We decided to go tour some of the race shops and go to the NC Auto Racing Hall of Fame, up in Mooresville. I really enjoyed myself. I think that the kids did too. We accidentally went to the wrong place while trying to visit the Petty shops and ended up at the actual shop, not the visitor center part. The guys there were so nice. They let us in to see the place and gave the kids each a sponsor decal that had been removed from a car that had already raced. They were mounted on this nice piece of aluminum. A definite one-of-a-kind souvenir! We ended our trip by stopping at Friendly's for lunch. None of the kids had ever heard of it or been there, so it was a real treat for them (and me too since I haven't been to one since living in Ohio)! I think a "Happy Ending Sundae" was a nice way to end our day :-)
