Brett's Birthday Weekend

This was Brett's "Birthday Weekend" since his actual birthday is Monday and we'll be running around with work, school and baseball. We had Braiden's game on Saturday. It was SO hot and 2+ hours long, which made for a very late lunch / early dinner (3pm). The birthday boy decided he wanted Cold Stone Creamery Ice Cream for his birthday instead of a cake, so that was our dinner Saturday night (8pm. Braiden LOVED that! I think there's only been a couple of times that we've skipped a meal and had a big treat like that instead. Today was of course church and football (what else do you do on a Sunday!?). Braiden was tricked in to telling Brett that we got him the NCAA game for the Wii. Brett can be such a stinker when it comes to waiting and my son has NO poker face what so ever! It ended up being the right game, but for the wrong game system. (I should know these things but I don't) So while Brett went to ump a game, we returned the game and got it for the xbox, along with two chairs for my boys to sit in as they try to annihilate each other on the football field. I had to take a picture, although it doesn't really do justice, since you can't tell that they are sitting in the dark playing. (You apparently get a "better effect" that way, I think that's what I heard my "big kid" say). They are two peas in a pod and I couldn't be happier, because they're MY two peas! The baseball picture is when Braiden's on third and Brett's coaching third base. I thought it was cute that they were both in there. That's our weekend in the nutshell!
