Happy Mother's Day!

Well, I've had the most wonderful Mother's Day WEEKEND. Yes, my boys have been spoiling me the ENTIRE weekend and I'm enjoying every minute of it, since it probably won't happen for another year. Saturday we had a baseball game early and then Braiden and I went to an old car show that was right down the street. He must have taken a picture of every car that was there! Oh well, he was in his heyday. Saturday night my oh so sweet husband took me out to dinner and drinks with our friends Darnell and Dave (thanks for dinner!). Today I asked to go to IHOP for Mother's Day and we all got up and went. Some of you may think this is crazy, but my family HATES to go to breakfast, so I have to ask for it on the one day a year I can "guilt" them into it. It was SO yummy! Then we came home and they showered me with gifts of a beautiful coffee mug and wine bottle topper, which both had a "J" monogram on them. I guess that goes to show that they think I drink too much coffee and too much wine, but that's OK, probably true too! I also got a bag of "Runts", my favorite candy, two beautiful cards and a gift card to a jewelry store close by. There are these rings that I've been wanting to get, and luckily all the hints I've dropped to Braiden stuck in his head. Braiden and I then went to the school track to watch our friends, the Murillos, launch this "family rocket" that they purchased. That was fun, and while we were there, Braiden just HAD to find an old pop bottle and catch some tadpoles in it. We are now the proud owners of three tadpoles. I thought about putting them in the fish tank with "Pickles", but anyone who has seen our fish, will understand why I didn't. He's so fat we were afraid he might eat them. So, that's been my wonderful weekend. I'm thinking of asking for ice cream tonight, just to savor the last few hours that I have until I have to go back to the "real world". Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!
