A NEW Post!

First, allow me to apologize for not updating this blog in FOREVER! I forgot what it was like to work a full-time job. I always feel like there are not enough hours in the day, which my husband says I "create that problem for myself" whatever that's supposed to mean! Let me re-cap the last few months...
I got a job at River Gate Elementary, a new elementary school near our house. I'm a teacher's assistant for a class of kindergartners and a class of fifth graders. It's so much fun and I am blessed to have the job. It allowed me to bring Braiden with me to this beautiful new school. He's in 4th grade this year and LOVES his class and teacher, Mrs. Brown.
Braiden continued with baseball this fall. Dad was, once again, his coach. This is always such a fun bonding time for them both. He'll never be the "star athlete" but he tries and they have a blast together.
October was Halloween and this year Braiden went as Jango Fett, from Star Wars. We had a little "wardrobe malfunction" when he couldn't see out of the mask. I fixed it with scissors and we were good to go.
November brought Thanksgiving and a trip to Ohio for our annual "Thanksgiving/Christmas rolled into one trip". Braiden and Brett got to shoot the Red Rider BB Gun that my dad got for him, lots of food was consumed and of course the annual football game in the yard happened. Of course there was also a lot of gator riding and visiting the animals in grandpa's barn.
That brings me to December and the current state of affairs. Mom came down from the 19th-26th and my in-laws came into town as well, so we had lots of loving family around. Braiden got a bunch of presents as usual, most of which contained legos, his current "addiction". We got a live tree this year and it's beautiful. I hate that we have to take it down soon, as this is my favorite time of year. We also learned that we will be moving, at the end of the school year, to South Carolina. Brett has gotten a wonderful promotion within his company that we just couldn't turn down. It will be sad to leave our home of 10 years, but it is also exciting to see what lies ahead for our family.
That's my quick version summery. I hope that everyone had a wonderful Holidays.
Peace and Love from the Grollers
